Peggy and Bret...

I had the pleasure of shooting Peggy and Bret's beautiful wedding yesterday. I also shot Peggy's bridal portrait a few weeks ago and can now show you some of my favorites from that session that include her dress! Here are just a few images with more to follow later this week!

Beautiful Bride...

I had the pleasure of shooting Peggy's bridal portrait over the weekend. She choose Carmel Country Club in Charlotte which was perfect for her session! Peggy's wedding is still a couple of weeks away so I chose a few of my favorite images that didn't show any of her bridal attire for the day!

Jessica's pregnant bliss!

I had the great opportunity to work with Jessica and her husband Jay last week. They are expecting their first child, a little boy, in a few weeks. She has a perfect belly, no stretch marks at all! I can't wait to take pictures of the new arrival when he finally gets here!

Mackenzie wins Young Ms Cabarrus County

I had the pleasure of shooting some headshots with Makenzie Guffey a couple of weeks ago. She needed some new pictures for an upcoming pageant. I was so thrilled to hear from her mom that she won the crown! She is a beautiful girl, very photogenic! I really enjoyed working with her and hope to shoot with her again in the future. Here are a few of my favorites!

J Majors Bridal Gala

I had a super busy weekend so I'm going to be posting a few times this week to catch everyone up. Friday night Carmen and I had the honor of photographing the J. Majors Bridal Gala in Charlotte. It was a wonderful fundraising event for the Susan G. Koman foundation. CJ, and the ladies of J. Majors put together a beautiful event. The gowns were amazing! All of the models were either breast cancer survivors themself, or have a family member who has been touched by the disease. I hope to be apart of this wonderful event again next year!

Family Portraits at Birkdale

October is a busy month. I have 4 weddings, the J majors Bridal Gala, and a exciting weekend of family portraits at the Birkdale Shopping Center. I'm a very happy to be partnering with Birkdale of a weekend of portraits to benefit charities, and allow everyone the opportunity to get a great family portrait! J. Majors Breast Cancer Gala

I am so excited to be a part of a wonderful event taking place next weekend. On Friday, October 10th CJ and the wonderful girls of J. Majors Bridal salon will be hosting a Bridal Gala to benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. The event will feature wonderful food, cake, wine, and of course the best gowns around! Carmen and I will be fortunate enough to get to document the evening. I will definitely be posting a ton of pictures next weekend. If you'd like to see the newest, most fashionable gowns and have a fun night out benefiting a great cause the info is below! Hope to see you there.

Dana and Dan

I had the pleasure of shooting with Dana and Dan yesterday. Dana was my mystery bride in a previous post. I loved her bridal portrait session, but didn't want anyone to see the bride before her wedding day. I've posted a sneak peak from the wedding day. They were blessed with a beautiful day for their wedding. The weather was perfect, and the temperature was just right. The event was at the RosaLee Manor in Pilot Mountain, NC. It's always so wonderful to see couples so completely in love. Dan and Dana are a natural together. I am sure they will have many wonderful, love filled years ahead.

Susan and Chris... The wedding day

I had the wonderful opportunity to be apart of Susan and Chris's wedding day last weekend. They had a wonderful day of events. By day Susan and Chris looked like your average wedding couple. With a beautiful ceremony. By night they had both changed into traditional Indian Wedding clothing. With Susan it didn't matter what she was wearing she was a stunning bride! She and Chris just illuminate with love for each other.

Beautiful Bride

I had one of my favorite bridal session a couple of days ago. The bride looked beautiful, she was a classic vintage bride! She doesn't tie the knot until September so I can't put many images up yet, but as soon as their wedding arrives I'll be posting more. Here is a sneak peak that doesn't reveal who the beautiful bride is!

Molly's a senior...

I had the pleasure of shooting Molly Haynes senior portraits last week. Molly was chosen as one of my senior models for the Class of 2009. Molly attends Statesville High School where she is crazy busy! She is the Captain of the Volleyball team, on the Yearbook staff, in the Beta club, and she holds down a part time job as well. Molly has overcome her hearing obstacle, with a Cochlear implant. She is a great role model for her family and students all around. I had a great time shooting with her! She was a natural.

I've been working on some new images, and this one from Susan and Chris's engagement is a favorite. I love the way this looks! Just had to post it!

Just Catching Up...

My family and I were able to sneak off for a week of vacation. We were fortunate to go to St. Augustine, Florida for the week. My grandparents built a home there in the 60's and its been my family vacation destination since we were born. Everyone enjoyed relaxing days on the beach and some good fishing. We caught 3 different kinds of sharks fishing off the beach! I felt like I was on assignment for National Geographic. After we got back I was a vendor at the Belk Bridal Showcase in Charlotte. It was a great show, it's always neat to see all of the other vendors in action. Here are a couple of images from the beach.

Our dog Lucy got in on the fishing as well. She was missing
for over a month in June and July and we are so happy she's home again!
She had to make the beach trip with us.

a huge storm moving in, so the colors were awesome!

April and John- the Engagement Party

I had the pleasure of shooting April and John's engagement party on Saturday night. They had the wonderful clubhouse floor of the Avenues in Downtown Charlotte as their backdrop. The happy couple was wonderful to photograph with all of their friends. The soon to be married couple stepped out on the patio for some pictures with the awesome sunset we were blessed with. Here is one of my favorites so far. The beautiful sunset and some of the Charlotte skyline!

Susan and Chris

I had a great time getting to know Susan and Chris this past weekend. I am looking forward to being a part of their wedding day later in August. They were such troopers during their session, it was around 100 degrees. They were just happy to be in each others arms, so the heat didn't seem to bother them! A beautiful couple!
